Last day of summer.

This is the time of year when smoke starts coming out of the chimneys.

That nap yesterday made miracles to me🙂 I still have a stuffed nose but almost feels normal again🙂 We have lots of things to paint at work, still we couldn’t paint anything today. either they hadn’t sent us the paper work that is needed or only sent us half the order or less🙂 Well we need days like this sometimes as well because we spent all day repairing things, cleaning up and emptying the big final filter that collects the powder paint that can’t be used any longer.

The last of Saint Johns wort.

So I cleaned the big ovens and emptied the big filter and that took most part of the day. It is amazing how much dirt that gathers in those ovens, I mean only either washed things goes through or painted still there was so much dirt in there that I had to empty the  big industrial vacuum cleaner after a while. Now I don’t have to think about that until next summer.

It is a nice evening, the katydids are playing loudly and the air is rather warm, no bird song though, that stopped long ago. Autumn is here and I better enjoy it because I can’t do anything about it🙂 Well normally we say that this is the last day of summer but since we never got any summer this year I can’t even pretend that🙂

One of the dogs is bleeding, I see drops of blood all over the floor but I can’t find any injury on any of the dogs. Normally it’s Orvar that has torn of a claw, he never says a word and never touches the wound when it happens. But I’ve checked all of them and can’t find any injuries🙂

It’s time to make a pot of tea and then I think I’ll fall asleep in front of the tv. The kitchen door will stay open for quite some time so the dogs and cats can walk in and out as they wish.

Have a great day!

  3. Maybe Sune lost a baby tooth, and it bled a little bit?
I hope we all can enjoy a pleasant autumn; in one or another we all deserve it.
Sounds like a busy day at your work, with all that cleaning. Better take it easy this weekend…you don’t want to get too overclean, lol!

    • Hi Robin!

He has started to loose them but not this time. Too much blood on the floor for that.

Yes we all deserv a good nice autumn. Wer because we never had any summer and You because You really had one🙂🙂🙂

Yes it was but even if I’m not a cleaning fanatic still enjoyed doing something else🙂 I can be honest when I say I won’t be cleaning here at home🙂🙂🙂

      Have a great day!
      Christer.

  4. I wonder if someone cut their paw pad? sometimes that is really hard to see.
I love how Sune is always running and looking so happy.🙂
He’s so lucky to have you. What a great life for him.🙂

    • Hi Cindi!

I can’t find any cuts anywhere so I’ll never know who was bleeding🙂 Not unusual here, especially since Orvar never! complains. I can honestly say that I would never understand if he got sick, he’s a master in covering any symptoms so I do take an extra look at him every now and again.

Sune never walks, always run around with his ears flopping around🙂🙂🙂 So I think he is happy🙂

      Have a great day!
      Christer

  5. Hi Christer,
What a peppy little puppy! Run, run, run, smiling all the time.🙂

It’s so odd to see pictures of smoke coming from chimneys and read about the cool temperatures and the last St Johnswort of the season while sitting here in 90 degree heat. The leaves here are starting to get that tired green look that they take on at the end of summer. The Black Walnut is dropping a few leaves here and there but it’s dropping more walnuts than leaves. The starlings and the English sparrows are flocking up. Those are the earliest signs of autumn here. But it’s still too damn hot.

Enjoy the rest of the evening and don’t forget to shut the door.🙂

    • Hi Caryn!

Always running like crazy with his ears flopping around🙂

I actually thought it a bit odd seeing that smoke too because it was a warm day yesterday. Perhaps my new neighbors freeze easily. But nights are chilly here now so I can understand if someone starts a fire in the early mornings though.

My Black walnut still has all its leafs but a few have started to change color now. I do hope I can get lots of walnuts from my tree in the future, I’ll plant it inn the garden next spring🙂

Most starlings have left now but the English sparrows have nests beneath my tiles so they are ever present🙂

It got so cold so I had to shut that door earlier than I had hoped for🙂

      Have a great day!
      Christer.
