Computers!
I thought I wouldn’t be able to write anything here today because my computer refused to start. It sort of got stuck at one place and nothing happened. So I shut it down and restarted it. When it started to work some a text told me that I had to let the computer repair itself and that could take hours. Guess if I got surprised when it only took ten minutes 🙂 I was about to try writing something with my mobile phone just to let You all know that I at least tried 🙂
So here I am and I have no idea what to write about 🙂 Lots of things to do at work so the week has passed really quickly. I noticed that I had problems getting rid of the powder paint when washing my hair so that’s why I suddenly didn’t have any time to write here on Tuesday. It is hard to aim in front of a mirror when shaving off all hair from the skull 🙂 I had no wish to come to work with hair here and there on my head 🙂 🙂
This Datura started to grow in one of my old and rather neglected flower beds. I thought it was the common Jimsonweed but this one flowers at night. I can’t remember Jimsonweed doing that. Does anyone of You know if it does?
Kirengeshoma palmatum. It rarely gets the chance to flower in my garden but this year it does and a lot too. I think the buds promises more than the flower can deliver to be honest.
Tiger lily. These should not be planted with other lilies because they usually carry a virus that does nothing to the Tiger lily but kills most other lilies.
This lily once was pure white with dark red spots on it. Then one day this turned up and I don’t like it. But it still smells just as wonderful.
Sune got once again stung by a wasp and he looked miserable for a couple of minutes. I picked him up, sat down on a big stone and told him that he really must stop playing with them 🙂 We do have a lot of wasps here now, both around the cottage and out by the fields. I hope he has learned something but I doubt it, they seldom do when it comes to pain and insects 🙂
It is almost impossible to see a katydid when it is in the trees and even here when coming real close with the camera. We have so many this year that they almost are as loud as cicadas 🙂 That sound is my favorite autumn sound I think.
We’ve had summer here again a couple of days now. But the nights are cold and the temperature falls down to 4 C (39,2 F) so we have fog every morning. Today I thought I would bring my small camera with me and stop along the way to take some photographs. It was still at the kitchen counter when I came home 🙂
I bought a battery-powered hedge trimmer on my way home yesterday. I had a real good one when I had my garden center but had to leave it there when I sold it. The one buying the place had already regretted signing the papers so I didn’t want to argue about a silly thing like that 🙂 I rarely trim the hedges here but every once in a while I do it because they just get too big.
It’s time to make something to eat, I forgot to go via the grocery store on my way home so I don’t have much to eat if I want anything tomorrow morning 🙂

I wish it was but they have problems with our summers, too short and too cold. If we want it we have to sow it already in early February if it should be able to flower. Mine isn’t a vine either so unfortunately it can’t be a moon flower.

The plant experts say it should be destroyed as a matter of course since it is so poisonous to livestock. Well, and people too I suppose.

My laptop did something sort of like yours except that when I tried to boot it up, it made the little noise and then nothing. Black screen. I called IT and described my problem. He told me to look on my screen for a particular icon. Ah, no, you don’t understand. No picture. It ended up with me unscrewing the back and pulling out the battery, putting it back in and doing a PRAM start that requires the human to have 15 fingers in order to press all the keys at the same time. Who figured out that manoever? Chopin? 🙂 Hope your computer stays healthy.
It’s getting a little cold to have a summer haircut, I think. You will have to find a warm hat.

Yes it is a dangerous plant but it smells so bad that most animals avoid it. Humans however aren’t that clever. It contains narcotic substances and young people often tries to get high on it. The problem is that the line between getting high and getting dead is very, very thin. Either they notice nothing or they die but the plant has been useful in making different medicines. I was thinking of removing it but since the dogs didn’t care about it I let it stay, I guess the seeds has come via bird food.

It’s perfect to shave the head now, then it’ll be enough with hair when winter comes 🙂

Yes poor Sune, but he’s just too curious and can’t leave anything alone 🙂 I do hope he has learned something now 🙂 I had a dog that loved to eat flies but thankfully none of the ones I have now cares much about them, well except for Sune so far 🙂

So you shave your head! while here I am wishing my hair was longer so that I could tie it up and out of my way. But I can understand if you have paint powder in it. That would drive me crazy too. Hope it grows back before it gets too cold! 😀

Yes I need to shave it twice every year, the powder paint just stuck on the head if the hair gets too long and by too long I mean two inches 🙂

I’ve shown my shaved head here so many times now that I’ll skip it this time 🙂 🙂 Thankfully my head is quite even and has no bumps at all 🙂 It is usually long enough when winter hits us again 🙂
I do wonder how he will look as adult. I think he will look very much like a Clumber spaniel but with a Cocker spaniel head instead. Low and rather heavy 🙂
I did find hard bread so I survived the evening 🙂

Min gubbe klipper sig enormt kort sen 15 år tillbaka då det började med att han fick cancer och måste få cellgift och tappade allt hår. Men som jag brukar säga…inget ont som inte har nått gott med sig! Numera klipper han sig alltså alltid själv och vill absolut inte ha längre hår än några fjun!! 🙂 🙂

Det är så praktiskt att raka bort håret när man är mpulverlackerare, annars brukar det bli som ett tunnt betonglager som inte vill tvättas bort.
Visst är det rätt, linjen är riktigt tunn och de flesta som prövar hamnar på fel sida om den.

Great photo’s Christer! And adorable kitties. Are they wild? I mean farrel cats…(if that’s how you spell it.) We have wild kittens everywhere around here and it’s sad because many of them get killed or injured..and the mother just keeps having litters until she gets sick and dies. I think many of the cats have been abandoned.
I had been hoping you would be able to comment on my blog…most especially about my miniture garden in a wheelbarrow.
I never cease to be amazed at how beautiful it is where you live. I still dream of visiting Ireland, Denmark, Sweden and many countries but now I know I never will get to do that. I’ve gotten too old and my dear husband is not the traveling type.
I remember I talked about it so much that you began to think I was actually going to show up.. :):)
My two eldest sons just left for Ireland on Wednesday. They go every year. It’s too late for me but not for them. I’m glad. All of their five brother and sisters travel also…Africa, China…it’s amazing. Perhaps in another life for me. 🙂 As always my favorites are the photo’s of the dog, Bertil and the forest paths..so lovely.

No I took these photographs in a friends garden when we had a plant swapping day. I think it’s called feral though 🙂 These will all have new homes shortly. Wild cats (as we actually call them over here) doesn’t survive our winters, unless someone helps them, they almost always starve and freeze to death here poor cats.
I have made comments in Your blog, don’t they even end up in the spam comment box any longer? I do like Your little miniature garden 🙂 It looked a bit wild when the plants grew so big that the little cottage almost couldn’t be seen 🙂 🙂
