Cooler again.
The high temperatures we’ve had (high for us up here π ) are gone for now, it’s 10C (50F) at the moment but I don’t mind actually. The wind is strong and clouds cover most parts of the sky, but that will change they say. I’ve been napping for over 1,5 hours so I missed the rain that passed. It must have been a light shower because the ground was just slightly damp.
There’s still some yuck in my thumb but the pain is gone now. Well I did feel some pain after pressuring my thumb so the yuck got out of the wound but that’s hardly surprising π π π Now I would say that it feels slightly uncomfortable but that’s it.
Nothing much will happen today, the weather isn’t inviting enough to be honest. I have dug up a sloe shoot in the garden and I’m thinking of making a tree off it. Sloes are normally bushes that spreads rather quickly via its roots, but it is possible to make the tree shaped. My sloes are spreading a bit to much so I’ll have to dig them up before it is to late anyway. Β So I planted a shoot in a pot today and now I’ll trim it hard when ever it tries to become a bush again π If I succeed I’ll plant it in the middle of the lawn so I can cut down all eventual shoot from its roots with the lawn mower.
The tomato and paprika seeds I sowed germinated fine, except for the white paprika that didn’t germinate at all, and now those little plants are growing fine. So is the cuttings I took from the old tomato plant. It looks like several of the sugar melon seeds germinated as well and at least one of the squash seeds. They were all very old so I didn’t expect much to be honest. Now I really need to start building that greenhouse π π π
My dogs are getting restless so I better take them out for a walk now. I’ll make sure we pass the mailboxes because I forgot to bring my morning paper when we were out early this morning π
Good Saturday to you, Christer! You didn’t say how your meeting went, so I am supposing all was well, no arguments or frustration. That thumb injury is certainly giving you a lot of grief. Maybe you have seen the last of the Yuck. Bertil and the boys in one of the first photos look very busy. Was there a fire? It looks like something burned in that photo. By the way, in the comment I made a couple of posts back about Teodor: I said he looked WIDE not WILD. Wide as in having indulged in too many kitty kibbles or treats. Stay well, and, Sweet Dreams!!
Hi Robin!
Good Saturday to You too π
Yes it went very well and very quickly, we were only a few people thankfully.
I do hope I’ve seen the last of the yuck now but I guess that there might be some left tomorrow as well.
There had been a campfire there early in spring and even if we’ve passed there several times all of them just have to stop and sniff around that place π
π Yes he’s very wide that cat π I think he walks up to the farm and eat there as well every day, because he doesn’t eat that much at home.
Have a great day!
Christer.
Hi Crister,
Hope the yuck all goes away quickly.
I think we have Laughing Gulls over here sometimes. I’ll have to check my old bird book but I’m pretty sure I have spotted them over the years. Are those barnacle geese in the photo or some other kind? Goslings are such an interesting color. They look like new green grass growing through old yellow grass when they are very young. They they get to be teenage geese and turn brown.
What does the Road Association do?
It looks like our weather of the past week has made it over to your side. Supposedly we will have the last of the damp, grey stuff today and then it will get sunny again. I hope so. This stuff is dreary.
Enjoy your day!
Hi Caryn!
I hope so too but I guess there still will be some tomorrow as well but after that I really hope it’s gone.
I’ve seen photographs with Laughing gulls from the US so I’m pretty sure they live over at Yours too.
I must admit that I have no idea what kind of goose that is π but the ducklings are so cute π
The road association are deciding how we will tend to the road during the year and the board is the pone ordering all thing that needs to be taken care of. It is surprising how different ideas people can have when it comes to keep the road in good standard π π π
Yes I think it finally reached us but it looks as if we will miss most of the rain here π Sunny and chilly most of the week they say.
Have a great day!
Christer.
hi christer! more thumb sympathy from my thumb to yours! i sure can’t wait to get into rehab to try to get more feeling and some movement back! i am about to plant some big flower beds and will show them on my blog as i go along! joyce
Hi Joyce!
My thumb sends its sympathy to Yours as well π
Your cut is so much worse than mine so You still have lots to do before the thumb is back to normal. I cross my fingers for a speedy recovery!
Looking forward to those photos π
Have a great day!
Christer.
Wow, wow, wow! I live in New York City, not a lot of places like the one in your pictures, so this is such a treat. Thanks so much for sharing π What a great Lunar Beltane present for my eyes and imagination!
Hi Magaly Guerrero and welcome to my blog π
This is very much how most of Sweden looks, we’re only nine million people, most living in the big cities and towns and I guess that’s how many that lives in New York alone π π π I’m glad You like it π
I hope Your Lunar Beltane was a good one π
Have a great day and welcome back π
Christer.
Cool Castle.
Looks like the only people who visit that Visitors Station are ones driving Station Wagons π π
Hope your thumb heals faster. It sucks when something is wrong. Myabe tooth is starting to bother me….the one where she just HAD to take out the old filling, drill some more and add a new filling. She said it was cracked and might get worse. I think she should have just left it alone. π¦
Grrrrr. I hate this type of stuff. Such an inconvenience. π¦
Hi Cindi!
π They had to have station wagons so they could bring all their equipment π π π It looks like they have to have at least three different binoculars and cameras each π
I do hope so too but there’s still yuck in that wound. But I do feel sick after taking that antibiotic! The first hour after taking it is nasty and it feels like I have a fever but I don’t, very strange.
I hope she didn’t do things worse by taking out the oild filling and putting in new one. Sometimes I feel it’s just best to leave things alone for as long as possible!
Have a great day!
Christer.
How lucky, Christer, that you were able to see and take photos of the super moon on Saturday. We had clouds come in which blocked all visibility and we never did get any of the threatened rainstorms. Sorry to have missed this great show!
Hi Beatrice!
Yes I was lucky to have a clear sky that night. They had promised rain and snow but we got mostly sunshine π
Have a great day!
Christer.
