It is the price I have to pay I guess.
I’ve had better nights than the latest one, I think I got four hours of sleep in total. I can take the pulsating pain that always turns up when I injure myself but the one the nerves gives as an extra salutation to stupid people with knives was more than I could take last night ๐ ๐ ๐ It felt like someone tried to push a needle from the tip of my thumb all the way to my shoulder. The only time I could get rid of it was when I walked around here in my home. Well that’s the price I have to pay I guess.
It is a long weekend for most people now, not only for us that cuts ourselves with knives ๐ May first is the workers day and a holiday for us all and since it is on a Tuesday most people who can do take a day off on Monday. I had planned to start with the green house this weekend but I think it is best not to ๐ I always think it is best to spread the injuries over a longer period of time ๐ ๐ ๐
I knew I had to buy some things before this weekend so I thought it best to do so before the rest of the world got to the stores as well, so I drove to the big town Falkรถping as soon as they opened up all the stores. I needed fire logs, not many because it is rather warm here now but all the rain makes it feel so damp also indoors. I also needed some groceries and a new chain to my chain saw. I almost got it all ๐ For some reason I forgot the chain but I did look for a harness for Nova.
She walks rather well in a leash but it always tangles itself around her legs. A harness should solve that problem I think. But I realized that I must have her with me so I’ll get one that fits perfect, so I’ll drive there with here again on Monday instead. The rain has just started again after a day filled with sunshine. We’re just on the borderline between hot and rainy weather and cooler and dry so there’s a risk of thunder today. I don’t mind thunder as long as the lightning doesn’t fly out of the telephone socket in to the wall on the other side of the hall way ๐
It is time to start a fire in the stove to dry this cottage of mine, then all the animals will get their food and after that I might get something myself. I’m not especially hungry but it would take my mind off the thumb for a while ๐
Jag gillade fรคrgen pรฅ citronfjรคrilen. รr det fakta eller nรฅgot du bara kom pรฅ, ja att den som รคr vackert limegrรถn รคr en hane alltsรฅ!?
Hoppas tummen inte vรคrker inatt igen sรฅ du fรฅr sova lite. Det brukar annars pรฅverka hur man bรคr sig รฅt, sรฅ risken fรถratt du skadar dig igen om du gรถr nรฅgot i trรคdgรฅrden รคr stor.

what lovely village, that church is amazing, although I am not a religous person in the traditional sense of the work I love the churches, and thier rituals.I would love to live in one of the apartments that were the villas from times gone by, I bet they are lovely, rather than the apartment i’m in.
Hope that thumb soon feels better, I cut myself once something like that and the throbbing was the worse.Take care,
Hi Laurie!
It is a nice little town Falkรถping, even the not so good looking parts look rather nice to be honesty.
I do like churches but to be honest, their history is often cruel. Just think about the power the priests had and how they very often abused it. But I do like the buildings ๐
My plan is that when I can’t live here any loger I will try to find an apartment in one of those old villas ๐
Have a great day!
Christer.
I love the old buildings, they are full of charm and charater.
I sure hope you thumb feels better tonight and you sleep well.
Hi JoJo!
Yes they are and I rather live in one of those than in one of the newly built that I also photographed to this post.
My thumb does feel a bit better so I hope it will calm down even more until tonight.
Have a great day!
Christer.
Thank you for the tour! I love this village. You have such a great eye for photos, Christer. Good idea, putting off the green house until… well, you know… no need cutting the other thumb! Take care, now.
Hi Sharlene!
It is a beautiful little town but so is most of those I have around me here.
Yes it is better to spread out the injuries over a longer period of time ๐ ๐ ๐
Have a great day!
Christer.
Wonderful tour, wonderful buildings, churches, homes! It is so enjoyable to see. The windmill is beautiful! Sweet little green moth at the end. Thanks for showing us the town. I feel bad about the pain you are having, but you are very prudent to let the thumb heal, before risking another injury! Smart!! lol!
Hi Robin!
I do like Falkรถping even if it has been voted the countries most boring town a couple of times ๐ ๐ ๐
I’m glad the pain isn’t worse considering I did split the thumb rather much ๐ I just hope that awful needle pain goes away!
That is actually a rather big butterfly, one of our biggest ๐ I do like them a lot.
Yes it is better to heal before injuring myself again ๐
Have a great day!
Christer.
I love that cafe photo. Like them all but I see myself having coffee there. I hope that thumb doesn’t get infected. You’re smart to take it easy. Good luck with the harness for Nova. We tried with our Beagle and it was tedious at best. She most often wouldn’t move because it was on her. Dogs have a certain containment sense. Let us know how she does. And try to make the best of the weekend.
Hi Z&M!
It is a very nice cafรฉ and if it hadn’t been filled with people I would have walked in to get some photos from the inside too.
I do hope I won’t get an infection in my thumb! That would complicate things a lot since I have those implants in my hip. If any infection would reach those I’m in big troubles. So far so good though ๐
I know that about some dogs and harnesses ๐ It is just impossible to make them walk with a harness on them. So let us all hope Nova isn’t one of thoose dogs ๐
Have a great day!
Christer.
What do you mean that’s your plan? Why couldn’t you live where you are now…forever? Unless you don’t want to. But I would think you would be unhappy in the city. The town does look very pretty though.
Sorry to hear about the pain from your thumb injury. When I was 12, my sister swung a window closed on my hand and it cut my little finger straight down vertically into 2, right next to the bone. I still remember the agony I felt after the anesthesia wore off.
Good luck with the harness. I think they work well with a dog that minds you. If you have a big one that suddenly wants to GO, you could be in trouble, (at least I would be with Blue) but I think you and Nova will be fine.
Hi Cindi!
Well I have two rheumatic diseases that slowly destroys my body. I got my first hip implant when I was 37, the second eight years later. Now I got it in my spine and even if it is under control right now I never know if it will stay like this or if it will get much worse. I hope I can continue to stay here for the rest of my life but I’m afraid that I might not be able to do so.
I slept much better this night ๐ My thumb is still painful but so much better than before ๐
That wouldn’t be a problem with Nova, she only weighs 8,5 pound and walks very good when leashed. I’m more afraid that she won’t walk at all ๐ ๐ ๐
Have a great day!
Christer.
i love all these photos!
Hi Joyce!
It is a nice little village I live in.
Have a great day!
Christer.
