I didn’t like what I saw this morning.

I was tired already when I woke up and I got even more tired when I opened the door to let the dogs out. Snow everywhere doesn’t make me happy at all πŸ™‚ I listened to the local radio station on my way to work and they then told us that it had started to snow in my part of the world and that the temperature would drop below 0C (32f) shortly. I looked up in the sky and the snow was gone since long and the temperature was already below what they had said πŸ™‚ πŸ™‚ πŸ™‚

This is marble snow. looks like hail but is soft all the way through.

The weather was rather pleasant when i came home though but I was a bit annoyed. I had gotten to bill remainders on two bills I was sure I had paid. But I hadn’t I’m afraid. I found them in this months pile instead. An honest mistake but still very annoying! They send them out so early that I haven’t paidΒ the bill for the month I’m in πŸ™‚ But now I’ve paid them but I’m still annoyed.

I’m a bit annoyed at some people at work as well. The wage negotiations went rather well i think but there’s always people who tries to find errors everywhere. I have no power to do anything at those negotiations, I’m there more like a witness of what happens. But still they think I had something to do with everything πŸ™‚ πŸ™‚ πŸ™‚ So today I’ve been defending myself to people who doesn’t listen to what I say but instead blames me for what they got. This happens every year so I’m not surprised that it happens, I’m just so tired of it now.

Well I have a fire burning in the stove and I bought myself a SmΓ₯lΓ€ndsk cheese cake, so I’ll forget today and put myself in front of the tv and just enjoy the cheese cake instead.

Have a great day!

  1. Hi Christer, Your photos today look like November instead of April. Sorry there is negative stuff going on; bad weather, bills, and jerks at work! Cheese cake is a positive step towards feeling better!!

    • Hi Robin!
It felt like November too πŸ™‚
But a cheese cake with peach jam is fixing it all πŸ™‚ πŸ™‚

      Have a great day!
      Christer.

    • Hi Joyce!
Yes cheese cake or a good ice cream does make things look brighter πŸ™‚ πŸ™‚
I can’t say I enjoy the snow at all but I wouldn’t like to have 83 this time of year either πŸ™‚

      Have a great day!
      Christer.

  2. I love cheese cake. The snow really does look out of place. I wish you could send some here. We are suppose to get a breeze this weekend but for now it’s pretty hot if you have to work outside. I had to fix the basketball hoop by the long drive and it took forever. I sweated like a pig. Enjoy your cake and please don’t worry about the Union contract. Been there, done that and it never gets any easier.

    • Hi Z&M!
I do love cheese cake too but ours is a bit different that Yours I think. At least those american that I’ve tested. It’s the texture that’s different, the taste is much the same and I like both just as much.

It’s awful to work when it is too warm outside, no problem here at the moment though πŸ™‚

I know it never will get better but I had hoped that they at least would understand that it wasn’t me negotiated this time but they just don’t want to get it πŸ™‚ πŸ™‚ πŸ™‚

      Have a great day!
      Christer.

  3. sorry about the snow and your asshole co-workers. 😦
at least you have all of us out here in blog land who care about you.
have some cake and hug your dogs, you’ll feel better. It always works for me. πŸ™‚

    • Hi Cindi!
Thankfully its only three people out of 30 but they sure know how to destroy a day πŸ™‚
The cheese cake was delicious and I wish I had some today as well πŸ™‚ πŸ™‚

      Have a great day!
      Christer.

  4. Hi Christer, hope you have enough cheesecake to make you forget the rest of the day. Chocolate also works that way for me. And I know what you mean about those bills cause no sooner do I finish paying last month’s bills – usually within the first week of the next month — then the bills start again by mid-month! As much as I do enjoy snow photos, it’s not winter anymore, at least not here where it was about 83F yesterday. I heard that people were discouraged from running in the Boston Marathon because of the unexpected heat and that up to 4800 people withdrew. Seems like a very high number, so I wonder just how many were left to run the race, but didn’t hear that number. Hope your days get better at work the rest of this week.

    • Hi Beatrice!
There’s no such amount of cheese cake I’m afraid πŸ™‚ πŸ™‚ πŸ™‚ But it did help for the moment anyway πŸ™‚
Yes chocolate is also very good for these moments πŸ™‚

I have no idea why they send the next bill before the latest one is due for payment?! But now I’ve paid them so I’ll just have to keep my eyes open next time πŸ™‚

Unfortunately snow photo’s isn’t unusual for this time of year here, normally spring starts within a week or two here, but I don’t like it anyway πŸ™‚ πŸ™‚

I think those that withdrew did a wise thing, it isn’t healthy to run that far in those kind of temperatures!

      Have a great day!
      Christer.

  5. Hi Christer,
Sorry you had a bummer of a day. Snow and jerky co-workers is a bad combo, for sure. Cheesecake is lovely antidote, though I prefer ice cream. πŸ™‚

I really love the light shining on the grass seed heads in that photo. It’s like they have their own little light bulbs inside, spot lighting them.

Our hot weather has gone away, thankfully. It’s only about 55F right now, which is 30 or so degrees cooler than yesterday at this time. I’m fine with that as I do not like the heat. I have to get up and shut the windows but I’m too comfortable at the moment. I’ll wait until I’m shivering and then do it.

All the flowering trees along the lake are in bloom right now. It’s mostly crab apple with some dogwood and cherry and some native wild roses. I walked the dog down there this morning and it was very lovely. Of course I took pictures.

I messed up my bills last month, too. Normally I pay them all on-line from my bank website at the beginning of the month. For some reason two of the bills didn’t get processed and I didn’t notice until I got a phone call from one of businesses. Now I make sure to write down the transaction number when I pay on-line so I know it went through. Ticked me off that I had done that, though.

Enjoy your day and your cheesecake. πŸ™‚

    • Hi Caryn!
I know I’ll have days like this every time we’ve had these negotiations. I have nothing to do with it really but it is me they hate πŸ™‚ πŸ™‚ πŸ™‚ But I’ve managed to keep away these last days πŸ™‚ πŸ™‚ πŸ™‚

I thought that was a good photo as well! It’s something with that light I like.

It is a bit to early to have temperatures like that but I have to say that I think we’ve had it too cold (even if it still is a bit warmer than usual πŸ™‚ πŸ™‚ ).

Nothing but a few brave spring flowers is flowering here, I think that it still takes a couple of weeks before the earliest trees starts here.

It is so annoying to mess up the bills like that! I pay via the internet bank and I can’t understand why I put these bills in the wrong bill pile. It is better when they don’t send them that early. I’m still a bit annoyed about that πŸ™‚

      Have a great day!
      Christer.

  6. THAT is exactly what I am going to do in just a few minutes. I hate watching the news..no one blames me for anything but our Gov’t two party system is about to drive me crazy! What to do? Change channels! I know you can’t “change channels” at work, Christer, but…pancakes, cheese cake..the next best thing as far as I am concerned. One day you won’t have to work anymore…and let me tell you…it’s WONDERFUL! πŸ™‚
    Take care, Christer..
    Mona

    • Hi Mona!
πŸ™‚ days like that is perfect for pancakes, cheese cakes and napping πŸ™‚
I don’t think it’s much better with our several party system sometimes, but at least we hear whining from different political sides πŸ™‚ πŸ™‚

I can’t wait until then, only seventeen more years till retirement πŸ™‚ πŸ™‚ πŸ™‚

      Have a great day!
      Christer.
