Just another nice summer morning.
I´ve just finished my breakfast and today I had müsli with almonds, dried banana, dried apples and raisins. I also added some cinnamon, cardamom, some fresh apples and I had sour milk with banana and pear taste 🙂 🙂 I belong to those peoples that can´t eat fried food early in the morning no matter how I try, but I have no problems eating that later in the day 🙂 🙂

It is a very nice summer morning today. We went out around am and the sun was shining and it was around 12C (53,6F). Warm enough in the sun but cool enough in the shadows so the flies kept calm. Now clouds are filling up the sky again but according to the weather forecast it isn´t cloudy at all 🙂 🙂 🙂
I had planned to start painting around the windows today but then I realized that I have nothing to wash the paint brush when I´m done for the day! Well they say the weather soon will be very nice indeed so it doesn´t matter if I´ll have to wait for some days more.
The greenhouse I´m planning to do isn´t even close to being started yet, I think I´ll do that during my vacation, at least to build the frame so I just can put in the windows fast after the vacation. So I did a little project yesterday. I made a small, low budget, rather ugly but expedient hothouse for my tomato plants and the ginger I have in a pot.
Here it is! A wonder of technology 🙂 🙂 I think I´ve used more screws to keep this together than they used in total to build the Titanic. I´m afraid that this one will go very much the same way, well not hit an ice berg but meet its end rather soon 🙂 🙂 🙂

This is just meant as a temporary thing so the planks I used isn´t of any higher quality but if it should survive this summer I can use it to grow melons in next summer. I have two gigantic yellow see through plastic bags and used one to cover the frame. Flies seems to love it in there, well fly in there anyway, so I won´t have to worry about not getting anything to pollinate the tomato flowers 🙂 🙂 🙂
Back to the morning walk again.
The only Elderberry tree in the village. Well I have one too but it freezes down to the ground every winter. I think I better take some cuttings from this one.
A neighbors cat. It´s really big and also a big coward 🙂
Nova is running around the cottage frantically chewing one of her plastic bottles 🙂 Every now and again she wants me to throw it away so she can fetch it and I have to say that she´s very good at it. She isn´t to happy to let go of the bottle again but she does it. Hector usually drops it behind me and Orvar runs away with it 🙂 🙂 🙂 Every time Nova shows any kind of aggressiveness when any of the others gets the bottle first she is sent indoors for a while. She´s getting better at it though 🙂
It´s time to finish my pot of tea and then? I don´t know but I feel a nap is most possibly something that will occur 🙂 Have a great day!

Så du ska måla i år, hihi. Nåja jag ska sabba dina planer om att skjuta upp det, du vet penslar kan man alltid förvara i vatten eller i plastpåse mellan målningarna. Man behöver absolut inte tvätta dom mellan varven, sorry, hihi. Så bara att sätta fart, hör du piskan som viner???
Här har vi väldigt blandat väder, men Gotland var helt klart bättre bara sol där. Idag ska vi fortsätta ute och göra nått vettigt. KJ jobbar med veden och jag ska väl jaga hundar och ogräs.

Jo du, nu har jag till och med färg hemma 🙂 Men jag började att göra annat så första fönstret får vänta ett par dagar, det skall ju bli varmt och fint nu på tisdag 🙂
Tycker att det inte fungerar så bra med plastpåse och dessa penslarna var så in i h..sike dyra att dem stoppar jag inte i vatten hur som helst 🙂 Tror att fönsterfärgen var ren oljefärg medans den till huset var oljefärg baserad på vatten hur de nu menar då 🙂 🙂 🙂
Nu är det otroligt soligt och gott här, såg att fdörsta tomaten är på g 🙂
Jag mailar och frågar vilken vecka som passar bäst med att komma upp ett par dagar!

Ja men om du stoppar dom i vatten torkar dom inte ut, bara att använda igen och igen om det inte går år mellan varven så klart, så gör vi jämt. Jadu det kommer ny teknik om färg, jag har nyss målat busstoa med vattenbaserad oljefärg, hm. Men bra vart det! Du är så välkommen så ska bli roligt. Vi har inget inbokat för tillfället. Börja måla nu, schwisch, schwisch……………………….

Allt för många bromsar igång nu! i går fanns det bara några stycken nu finns de över allt!! Men man märker ju att man lever när man blir biten 🙂 🙂 🙂
Jag har nog haft otur med kanske inte helt hela påsar, för när jag gjort så har de torkat rätt fort. Få väl blåsa i dem och se om luften stannar kvar.

Sounds like a healthy breakfast! This morning I plan on having cereal or should I say cereals! I always have to “layer” my cereal. Little bran nuts on the bottom, flakes in the middle and then shredded wheat on the top. I like vanilla soy milk but I don’t have any so it will be skim today.
Then I will spend the early part of the day “weeding” and planting…………..
Did you know that you can put your paintbrush inside of a ziplock bag without washing it out and it will keep for a day or so? Anyway, that’s worked for me in the past.
That neighbor cat is gorgeous! Do your dogs chase after him? My dogs are (mostly) fine with MY cats but if they see some other daring to come near their yard, they about have a heart-attack over it! Well have a good day! I need to get outside and accomplish something!

I guess it is but it is what I can manage to eat in the early morning 🙂 It was very good anyway 🙂 But since I had to drink soy milk when I was Younger (was a bit lactose intolerant) I just can´t stand it any longer. Except for the banana flavored, that is still yummy 🙂 🙂

I´ve tried that zip lock thing but Either it was broken so air could come in or I just waited to long, that brush never got to be what it once was after that 🙂 🙂
He is fine that cat and most cats do come along rather well with each other. They are so many here that it would be a constant war between them otherwise. Lots of feral cats gets adopted by the farmers here so they don´t have to put out rat poison. My dogs looks at any cat with interest but that´s all. Even Nova keeps relatively calm when seeing one 🙂

Hmmm. I’m surprised it didn’t work!
I put the brush to the side of the ziploc bag and flatten it out so all the air is out and then fold it over.
Somethimes i even stick it in the refrigerator…why? I don’t know. I think some told me too once but…..not sure.
Anyway, I’ve done that but also left it out with my paint supplies for a day or two and it’s worked.
Sorry, if it ruined your brush! 😦

It might have been that the ziplock bag was broken somewhere so air could come in.
It´s not a stupid idea to put it in the fridge! Cold air can hold the humidity in the bag for much longer time. I must remember that this summer!

He is pretty. Most cats here comes along rather well and they have to since they are so many. Feral cats often stops by farms and get adopted so the farmers and horse owners never have to put out rat poison.
Thankfully it´s a long time since I had a full blown migraine! I could have them for over eighteen hours and then I usually slept in my bath tub, so much easier when one has to throw up and just can´t move 🙂 🙂
Well it serves its purpose anyway that little green house 🙂 🙂

I love the picture of the leaf with rain drops.
I had some elderberry in my back swamp but I think the wild grapes have pushed them out though there are still some farther down on a neighbor’s part of the swamp.
The little green house bag is very cute. 🙂 And very clever also. It does seem that the smaller something is, the more screws it takes to keep it together.
Your breakfast sounds very good. I think I will take my dog for a walk to the coffee shop and have a treat for breakfast today.

It wasn´t raindrops or dew but sugar. I don´t know why some plants do like that, perhaps to get more insects tp come to them? But if I find it in the morning I take it myself 🙂 🙂 It´s very tasty 🙂
I must check when the best time to take cuttings is, The one I have myself in my garden always freeze down to the ground so I never get any flowers from it to make lemonade.
Thankfully I have loads of really sharp screws and I used lots to make this thing hold together 🙂 🙂 🙂 Well if it falls apart I can always re use them later on 🙂 🙂
It was a very good breakfast and it´s what I can get down in the early morning, that or porridge or a couple of sandwiches.

Hi Christer, I like your technologically constructed hot house! Very ingenious! The butterfly photo is wonderful. Summer is moving along rather fast for me these days. But the garden is doing well. I am surprised your dogs don’t chase the neighborhood cats, but must be because they are around Teodor and Bertil. Take care, big hugs and pats to the family.

Cats isn´t a big deal for my dogs, but unfortunately Orvar thinks the whole world loves him so today he wanted to say high to a badger. He really can´t read signals that big, stupid friendly dog. She showed very clkear that she didn´t want to say hi to him 🙂 🙂 🙂 Fortunately she could run away while I was yelling at him 🙂

Yeah, I agree. The smaller something is to build, the more screws it takes! Why is that? Sometimes, those quick-do hothouses are just the thing. I did it, one year, and then prayed no one would see them! 😎 Love the close-up photos, today and, expecially, your neighbor’s cat. I love musli and dried fruits with nuts for breakfast…. well, I can eat almost anything for breakfast, except sweets. I save my pancakes for the last meal of the day, if I’m going to have one. It is strange 🙂 I used a lot of screws hon this one, many more than I´ll use when I build the big greenhouse later on 🙂 🙂
My lilac hedge is so big that I don´t think that even the closest neighbor can see it 🙂 It is ugly but serves its purpose :-).
I´ve never started the day with sweets but I doubt I would have any problems eating that 🙂 🙂 🙂 Pancakes is something I eat in the evening as well, but over here many has pancakes as dessert with lots of jam and whipped cream 🙂

Jag är ledsen, men idag var jag på rätt ställe för osten men…..jag hade tankarna på annat!
Vi var tvungna att låta Penny somna in idag efter att hon i lördags fick ett anfall som höll på i en halvtimme. Efter det sov hon nästan konstant i 48 timmar så vi hade inte längre något val. Hon är nu begravd på vår yttertomt mellan en syren och en rosenhagtorn och jag har ett 20-tal blommor jag ska plantera på graven imorgon bitti. Men jag lovar, jag har inte glömt helt och hållet!
