We didn´t win but Yippee we sort of won :-)

It´s a cool and sunny morning, birds are singing and the wind seems to have trouble deciding to blow or not. Even though Nova woke me up at 5:30 we still were to late to see the badger by the field. I have to admit that I was a bit slow this morning and would have loved to be able to sleep an hour or so more 🙂

Crab apple trees are rather common in this area.

I´m glad I decided to mow the lawn yesterday after all because today will be mostly rainy and we might get some thunder too. I don´t mind if the grass grows long but since deers still jumps in here every night long grass would become a paradise for ticks and I think we have enough of them as it is 🙂

It was a magical feeling out by the bog this morning.

We didn´t win the Eurovision Song Contest yesterday but we came third. But I can still say that Yay! We won yesterdays contest 🙂 🙂 The country that did win was Azerbaijan, a country many doesn´t know exists and if they do most people wouldn´t place it in Europe. But it is an european country and one of those that left the old Soviet Union.

Anyway, what do I mean by writing we won when they did? Well the song writers are swedish, the background singers are swedish and to be honest the only ones not swedish were the couple singing the song 🙂 🙂 (even the clothes were swedish). Azerbaijan has a tradition of having swedish songs and artists when they compete in this contest and when they do they always comes amongst the top five. I can´t understand why we don´t use those people instead because it was a long time since we were in the top five until yesterday 🙂 🙂 🙂

Cherry flowers.

Teodor came to greet us when we were almost home again. He´s hard to see but he is there on the road 🙂

Today will be a day of almost totally laziness. The weather doesn´t allow much and my body aches in every single joint i have. I might replant some pot plants and I might fertilize some flower beds but that´s all. I´ll read a book too I guess, this will be a good day 🙂           Have a great day now!

  2. Hi Christer,
Bertil looks like he’s walking across fire in that photo. 🙂

Glad Sweden got Third and First in the song contest. 😉

I think we have the same weather today. Foggy. Rainy. Yucky. It will be like that for a few more days here. The grass will be loving it.

    Enjoy the fine soft day.

    • Hi Caryn!
It actually does look like that 🙂 I didn´t notice that until You wrote it 🙂 But I did notice that I have posted two almost identical photographs 🙂 🙂 🙂

Well the one that won is sort of boring 🙂 and I didn´t like ours 🙂 🙂 🙂 If Russia had won it would be much the same, swedish song, dancers and choreographers and somewhat boring 🙂 🙂 🙂 I liked Bosnia-Herzegovina´s song and Italy’s (that came second).

Thunder is approaching now but the fog keeps away 🙂

      Have a great day now!

      • I didn’t notice the identical photos either. It’s okay. It was magical in the bog today and you were ensorcelled. 🙂

By the way, what’s a slappardag? Google Translate doesn’t want to tell me. Some kind of day. Messy? Slacking-off? Crappy weather?

      • Hi Caryn!
That must be it 🙂 🙂

I think slacking is just the right translation. A day when nothing gets done 🙂

  3. I love the words, today will be a day of total laziness,, perfect for a sunday.I think I have heard a singer from Azeibaijan,, not sure though,,Sevara is her name. She’s beautiful and the clothes she wears are just beyond beautiful.Lovely photo’s as usual. Its always such a calming visit coming here.

    • Hi Laurie!
I haven´t done much today and now thunder approaches so there´s even less to do now 🙂 A perfect Sunday 🙂

I´ve realized that there are only beautiful people from Azerbaijan 🙂 At least all competing in the song contest are 🙂 🙂

Calmness is the first, last and middle name for this place 🙂 🙂

      Have a great day now!

  4. hi christer! glad to hear you sort of won the singing contest! we finally have some cool rainy weather here. i got up early and baked lots of bread. have a good relaxing lazy day! joyce

    • Hi Joyce!
🙂 It seems swedes are involved with lots of the songs every contest 🙂 Sometimes even the artists are swedes but competing for another country. But I think some involvement by the competing country is a must.

I´ve just thrown in a big piece of pork in the owen, I feel to lazy to bake bread today 🙂

      Have a great day now!

  5. Your pictures made me remember my childhood days of getting up at the crack of dawn to watch the sunrise and enjoy the world around me without the bustle of the rest of the world intruding. It was my favorite time and, frankly, I don’t know why I stopped unless it’s because life changed so much. But, thanks for a beautiful stroll. Now, enjoy your lazy day.

    • Hi Sharlene!
It is nice going up that early but today I would have preferred to sleep a bit longer 🙂 🙂

The only sound I´ve heard today except for those from the forest was a V8 engine, at first I thought it was thunder but it continued way to long for that -) 🙂 🙂

      Have a great day now!

  6. Okay. I’m a total airhead! Forgot to comment on the contest. It’s interesting to me that Russians would enter Swedish contests but then, again, we have American Idol and I still can’t figure out how some are let go and others make it through. But, congratulations for being in the top three. That is, indeed, an achievement.

    • Hi Sharlene!
It seems the main thing is to win, not from where the song writers, choreographers or even artists comes from 🙂 Well at least the artist is russian 🙂

To be honest, the quality this year was so bad that any decent song would have made it to top three 🙂 but thanks anyway 🙂

  7. Hi Christer, glad you are somewhat happy about your swedish winners. i have to say today’s photos are so magical and mystical, love them. You have a very artful eye for nature photography. Rainy here both yesterday and today, no garden work for us. So inside tasks, and much book reading! Enjoy your laziness, you deserve it.

    • Hi Robin!
It´s always fun if someone likes what we swedes do, even if I don´t like it myself 🙂 🙂 🙂

It was easy to take photographs this morning, all places looked magical when the sun came from the right direction.

This weather will continue for the rest of the coming week they say, but the rain is needed so I don´t mind.

      Have a great day now!

  8. Hejsan,
