Just some photographs.

I wasn´t planning on at being home right now, but the traffic situation made me change my mind But instead of writing anything more today I´ll show You some photographs I took on our walk. It´s pitch black outside and for the darker photographs the shutter was open more than ten seconds and still they are rather dark 🙂 🙂 🙂 I don´t have any tripod either so the photographs are a bit blurry.

Have a great day and Happy Thanks giving to all of You that celebrates that holiday!

The bright clouds behind the ruin wasn´t that bright to be honest. I could hardly see that the clouds were a bit more shiny than the surrounding ones.

    • Hi Joyce!
I too get christmasy of all this snow, even if I don´t like it 🙂 🙂

We often had turkey at christmas when I was younger, but we really don´t know how to cook it properly to be honest. I can understand how the smells drives Teddy crazy 🙂 🙂
The fire in the stove is burning and will continue to do so for a long time 🙂

      Happy Thanksgiving!

  3. Hi Christer,
I’ve never seen snow in my life. Only in photos and films, of course 🙂
I’m seeing your photos the feel of a world very soft and quiet, I like this.
We in Brazil do not celebrate Thanksgiving Day. But gratitude is good all the time.
So I wish a great Thanksgiving Day to all who pass by and for you.

    • Hi Didi!
Snow can be soft but if skiing really fast it can be hard as stone too if one falls 🙂 🙂 🙂 and it does soften sounds too, so everything does get more quiet.

We don´t celebrate it here either, so have a great day!

  4. Hi Christer,
Wow! Wonderful shots. You’re a very steady shot. Now I have to go figure out how to make my little digital camera do that, too.
It was sunny earlier on today but the clouds came in and the temperature dropped so it was not so warm as it might have been. It will probably get down to the 20’s Fahrenheit tonight. It did last night, too, so I was able to keep some of the less perishable Thanksgiving food and drink out on the porch. It makes a nice auxiliary refrigerator in the winter time and it’s enclosed so no animals can get at things. 🙂
Now I’m going to snuggle up with my dog and a cup of tea and watch television. Have a good evening.

    • Hi Caryn!
No I´m not 🙂 I leaned the camera towards walls and silage balls to even come close to something we even could guess what it was on the photo 🙂 🙂 🙂 I found a crossed over flash symbol on my camera and then the shutter stays open for as long as it needs to take a photo.

I can use my cellar in the same way too 🙂 Now the temperature has dropped down there so much that food will keep as long as in a refrigerator 🙂

      Have a great day now!

      • Hmmm… I have a x’d out flash symbol but that only means that the flash doesn’t come on. I have to find something that will change the shutter speed. Oh, well. When all else fails, read the instruction booklet. Assuming I still have it. 😀 😀
My back “mud room” works like a refrigerator too. On one or two occasions it has been so cold out there that wine has frozen solid. My Christmas cacti like it a lot because it has a south facing window but it’s cold. I just have to remember to bring them in if the temps are going to be in the single digits Fahrenheit for more than one day. I killed a few of them once when I forgot them out there for a few days.

      • Hi Caryn!
I read to seldom in the instruction book but with this camera it was a joke anyway 🙂 🙂 It really doesn´t explain anything else than how to press on the button 🙂 🙂 🙂 I hope Yours is better 🙂

I can imagine how great that “mud room” is for Your Christmas cacti! I used to do the same with the ones I had, now days I only have an easter cactus and a couple of other plants that will be moved down in to my cold cellar. It has happened that it got freezing cold down there too, so I installed a green house light there to keep it warm enough.

        Have a great day now!

  5. Hi Christer, We have finished our Thanksgiving Day celebration visiting friends in Georgia and tonight I looked at your winter photos. It was very warm here all day – about 70 degrees, but to be honest I would like it a little cooler in keeping with the season. We are having a wonderful visit with my cousin here and will be staying until Sunday when we make the 12-hour drive home (but we will stop overnight along the way). Glad to hear you made it safely to and from work and that your stove and chimney are nice and clean for the winter season. Stay warm and thanks for the holiday greetings.

    • Hi Beatrice!
The temperature is dropping here now so I wish we could get some of that heat You have in Georgia 🙂 Well it´s only one working day left this week and then the weekend starts, so I don´t have to care about trying to get to work 🙂 🙂 🙂

Good thing that You are staying over night if You are driving so far!
      Have a great day!

  6. We had a great Thanksgiving and nice warm weather… Your photos remind me that it won’t be long before we get our share of tough weather… Come visit when you can…

    • Hi Sharlene!

We´ve had anything but nice weather here. It snowed for a big part of the day again, but they say we might see the sun tomorrow. It was nasty cold this morning and it will be even colder tomorrow.

Have a great warm day now 🙂

  7. We had a fun Thanksgiving Christer. Kept tabs on the news channels here because some of the TSA pat down complaints were soooo funny. I would hate to fly today and would only if I had to or couldn’t get another way out on time, bus, train, drive myself to the location. But seriously, people who lost a loved one are really screwed. They almost have to fly and on top of losing a loved one, they have to be subjected to groping or cancer induced X-ray machines that take a nude photo of you. So you gotta porn your way to town. Hysterical. Only Americans are that dumb.

    • Hi Z&M!
I´m glad You had a fun Thanksgiving!
I have read about those problems 🙂 So I guess that it will be tougher to get on to the airplane if one is very good looking 🙂 🙂 🙂

      Have a great day now!
