I actually did something today :-)
The morning was cold sunny and wind free so I couldn’t but enjoy our walk. Birds was singing and now they’ve started with their spring tunes. I do wish I could say that spring already is here but it is way to early even for an early spring
We haven’t even left February behind us yet. But still the signs are there all over southern Sweden, snowdrops, crocuses and tulips are already showing above the ground now. Even my tree peony has started to open up its leaf buds now.
I’ve actually done something today outside the village
An old friend and I had decided we should meet since it was way to long since we last met. We were supposed to do it yesterday but I felt that the cold I’m having was a bit to active and made me way to tired to drive anywhere. So I called this morning and told them they had to decide if we should meet since my throat was sour, my nose running (but no fever) and I might be contagious. No cold scared them though
So off I went to the village I once had my garden centre in.
On my way home I decided that my dogs and I should take a walk in my old neighborhood. I didn’t want to go to the cottage since it lives people there now, but back in the days when I lived there I could see the cottage from several other places. Not any more though. It is amazing how much trees grow sometimes
The bog I used to walk across to come to the pond we went to today was now filled with willows and the spruces that grow by the gardens edges were now so high nothing could be seen behind them
But the walk was nice anyway and my dogs just loved to walk around in a new place. Orvar and Hector has been there before but it was so long ago that I doubt they remember it. I had planned to take some photographs of the castle there when we passed it but the wind had started to blow and it just got to cold to go out into it.

Jackdaws. Now is the time to have a fire burning in the stove as much as is possible. They love to build nests in chimneys. Even if we have a net over the opening that doesn't mean that won't put down sticks and lots of them
My favorite birds

There is a nature path I liked to walk when I lived in my former home. I was probably the only one walking there back then and it didn't look as if many walked there now either. I did have some problems finding it at first
Both headlights on my car had broken so I had to drive to a petrol station too on my way home. It is amazing how difficult it is to swap those!!!! I know my car is small but really! Couldn’t they have made just a tiny bit more space around the back of the headlights??? I have small hands and should be able to reach anywhere in my car but no, I had to work with my fingertips only. The first one only took me around ten minutes to change
The second one took me around half an hour :-)
I do hope these will last for several years

I’m glad you at least had the chance to get out for a while! I love the pictures of the old houses!
Hi Jim!
Now I’m both boiling and freezing at the same time
So many are home because of the influnza right now and I guess I’ve gotten it now.
It seems I got out at the last minute
Have a great day!
Christer.
I hope the memories are good of your old place. The pictures are wonderful.
Hi JoJo!
I loved that old place and my old dog Viran got her puppies there and she also destroyed three refridgerators
I didn’t want to leave but the owner wanted to sell the place and I thought they wanted way to much. Turns out I was right, it took them over three years to sell that place and then they had to sell it for much less than I offered
only good memories from there
Have a great day!
Christer.

Christer.
Christer, glad your cold didn’t keep you from visiting with friends! Enjoyed your walk down memory lane, to your old place, and that great wooded tunnel path. Your old pond looks beautiful. Maybe you can visit in the summer, would love photos. Your Terrific Trio are so gorgeous sitting there together. Now if you could just get Bertil and Teodor to pose with them, you would have an awesome family photo! Have a great Sunday!
Hi Robin!
I’ll go there again this summer and then I’ll take some phoyographs of the castle as well. It is the youngest castle in Sweden and has a rather interesting history.
Well if I tied my cats to a wall I might actually get a photo with them and my dogs at the same time
Have a great day!
Christer.
The dogs together look like the “Three Amigos”. A good name for the brood. Interesting photos too. Thanks for the tour.
Hi Z&M!
It’s just the sombreros that’s missing
Have a great day!
Christer.
